ACC Israel Chapter launched in Tel Aviv

ACC Israel Chapter launched in Tel Aviv | 4.5.2011

A delightful cocktail party marked the official launch of the ACC Israel chapter in Tel Aviv. The event was held on May 4, 2011, during the 58th Israel Heart Society Annual National Meeting and was hosted by the Israel Chapter (Chairman Basil Lewis, Secretary Michael Shechter) together with the Israel Heart Society (President Gad Keren, Secretary-General Doron Zahger).

Dr Ralph Brindis, Immediate Past-President of the College, gave an official word of greeting from ACC and on behalf of the College, received a plaque commemorating the occasion. Guests included both Israel and US Fellows of the ACC and Israel Fellows-in-training, as well as international guests of the Israel Chapter and Heart Society. Ms Kim Tiffany of the US Embassy in Tel Aviv welcomed the project, which could promote yet further commercial and scientific ties between Israel and US institutions.

The Israel ACC chapter is a full member of the International ACC Community, which promotes dialogue exchange among cardiovascular professionals around the globe. The chapter will continue to act as a liaison between ACC and the Israel Heart Society, promote joint scientific sessions and events, ACC Fellowship and membership and joint chapter programs.
