The Israel Heart Society (IHS) was founded in 1952 in Haifa and currently has 659 active members.

Aims of the Society:

To enhance the professional and scientific knowledge of therapy and prevention of heart diseases in Israel.
IHS is a formal society of the Israel Medical Association, and acts as a formal representative of the cardiology community in Israel as recognized by its scientific committee.

IHS is a formal member of:

European Society of Cardiology (ESC)
World Heart Federation (WHF)
The Israeli Chapter of the American College of Cardiology (ACC)

IHS board consists of:

President, President elect, past President, Secretary General, and
4 Board members representing middle, south, north, and Jerusalem chapters, representative of cardiac surgery and pediatric cardiology.
